Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision, this position monitors product safety and supports the analysis, prioritization, and reporting of system and process concerns throughout the model life.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the communication and monitors implementation of MBUSI activities to assure compliance with Daimler Product Safety requirements including Daimler Product Safety Directive and other product safety requirements.
- Lead Product Safety training in compliance with Daimler requirements. Investigates and supports implementation to eliminate causes of systemic quality problems and follow up on corrective actions.
- Lead plant preparation for TCT/VRC decision committees.
- Lead internal process and system audits
- Lead process Q-Release for New Type , MOPF and model year changes
- Provide support in the development and evaluation of Quality System Core Tools such as Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including Control Plan, and corrective action root cause analysis and 8D.
- Participate in crossplant audit teams to support the communication and implementation of MBUSI activities in order to assure compliance with Daimler requirements.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
