Eaton Industries division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer Jr. to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility. The Quality Engineer Jr. is responsible for carries out technical and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Some activities related with the position will be: Investigates complaints on existing products and responds to vendor or customers when required. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet inspections schedules and auditing processes. Provides technical and process direction to manufacturing Quality Assurance Auditors / Inspectors, Quality Laboratories Technicians and Material Review Board (MRB) coordinators. Provides leadership, mentoring and supervision of manufacturing Quality Assurance Auditors / Inspectors. Develops and recommends test procedures for products and raw materials and maintains test / measuring equipment. Evaluate employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods. Continuously improve performance based on the key performance indicators. Analyzes and resolves, or assists workers in solving work problems. Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce/eliminate production waste and quarantined product. Train employees in operating procedures (applicable procedures) and ensure training effectiveness in application of job skills. Ensures manufacturing QA final acceptance, Product Hold and Material Review Board functions operate in compliance with Quality System. Trains Quality Auditors / Inspectors on safety topics, quality procedures and business updates for the month. Participates in other plant teams and programs and others as assigned. Directs and advises personnel in special test procedures to analyze components and physical properties / specifications of product materials. Maintains time and inspection / testing records, reporting monthly. Supervisor the quality inspectors in the plant. Monitors QA final acceptance, Product Hold and Material Review board performance and implements changes to improve operating efficiency. Develops, justifies and implements manufacturing QA process improvements. Compiles and analyzes inspection and testing information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions. Implement and follow-up on corrective actions. Assist with the implementation of quality systems (EBE, QS, IATF 16949) and Environmental Managements Systems. Daily revision of customer web sites. Monthly revision of Customer scores. Special characteristics evaluation and documentation. Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2020 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Technical Degree in Engineering (Bachelors preferred) Strong quality and statistics background required. Minimum 2 years’ experience applying quality tools in a manufacturing environment. Automotive preferred. Communication skills Knowledge of engineering techniques & manufacturing processes Knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including MSA Knowledge of measurement equipment Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, statistical programs, database maintenance Knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) principles Knowledge on AIAG Core Tools: SPC PFMEA PPAP APQP MSA Knowledge on Quality and Environmental management systems Internal Auditor training preferred Knowledge and compliance with the standards that rules the IATF16949 We make what matters work.
