The facility built at the location will assemble and commission the DTUP (Deep Tube Upgrade Program) trains for London Underground, starting with a contract for the Piccadilly Line. This project is for the Siemens Rolling Stock, Metro Business Segment, which is headquartered in Vienna in Austria - we are effectively 'twinning' the site in Goole, Yorkshire. Whilst the building project for the Goole site is ongoing, we need passionate individuals to help ensure the overall quality of our processes and procedures. And there is opportunity for travel both around the UK and abroad! The Challenge Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will build an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. This great opportunity allows you to see how a train manufacturing facility is built from the ground up where every day will be different. Here is a taste of what you can expect from this internship: Documenting the implementation of processes and procedures to enable the safe and quality driven production of our trains. Working in the digitalisation space, 'twinning' our Vienna site into Goole. Working on our Siemens management systems Conducting analysis and planning of tasks Setting of KPI's Analysing data, process control and auditing The Candidate We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following: Studying towards a 2:2 or above in Engineering Management, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, Statistics or other related degrees Process driven with an understanding of professional planning Excellent communication skills - you will be expected to communicate at all levels in the business An understanding of manufacturing or business processes is desirable but not essential Flexibility is key!
