Eaton eMobility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Tualatin, OR facility. Position Overview: The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting product. In this function you will: Perform troubleshooting and document rework as required and analysis of nonconforming product and data analysis for manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers Perform quality audits, workmanship defect reduction efforts, corrective and preventive action identification, analysis and reporting, inspection of returned units, and special inspections. Perform inspection support activities as required and maintain quality records and support Test Engineers for quality issues Work closely with Engineering to assist with engineering change modification implementation. Incorporates Engineering change notices into assembly as instructed. Tests electrical/mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance to product quality standards and assists in making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality standards. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution Manufacturing experience in electronics/electrical Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship Must reside within 50 miles of Tualatin OR to be considered. Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, and Outlook—basic uses Preferred Qualifications: SAP 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferably in electronics/electrical manufacturing IPC (Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits) Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification (soldering experience) Must be able to lift maximum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation.
