Eaton’s VGNA division is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes facility.
The Quality Manager is responsible for all quality aspects and requirements for the new site start-up and on-going operation. Directs the development and implementation of the new plant's quality management system to include continual improvement programs through the knowledge and deployment of Eaton Business System. Ensures that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of quality assurance and improvement are rigidly adhered to during all manufacturing processes. Develop and implement plans to achieve operation and group quality goals. Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements and acts as principle contact for customer on quality issues. Manage inspection, corrective action, SPC, Returned Materials, problem solving process, internal audit activity, and other documentation issues as needed for the operations. Develops and hires the team of quality engineers and technicians to achieve world class quality performance.

Some activities related with the position will be:
- Be a driving force in ensuring a strong and committed culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Manages and directs all quality related aspects for the new site start-up – including equipment runoff approvals, internal and external PPAP’s, customer quality relationship, new employee hiring and development, quality system setup, IATF certification, and definition and development of all site inspection / gaging strategies and processes.
- Participate on PROLaunch gate reviews to assure the adherence to APQP process to prevent customer complaint and keep CONC on world class levels.
- Ensures that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
- Establishes objectives, policies, and procedures for plant quality control activities. Reports to top management performance and any needs for QMS improvement (Management Review).
- Ensure the promotion and awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
- Monitors overall plant quality progress and performance and makes corrections as needed.
- Acts as a primary organizational contact for customer concerns and ensure appropriate corrective actions are deployed as necessary.
- Ensures that necessary organizational certifications and regulatory requirements are obtained, maintained, and improved. (i.e. IATF, QMS certification, etc.)
- Ensures organizational readiness for customer and other third party assessments related to the QMS.
- Manage QA department resources to maximize QMS compliance and to ensure continual improvement.
- Deploy Eaton Business System tools, where appropriate or required, to improve Quality Management System effectiveness (i.e. EQMS, ELSS, WISPER, MESH, PROLaunch etc).
- Manages and develops site quality engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure world class quality performance and a continuous improvement culture through the utilization of the OCA and APEX..
- Coordinate the Material Review Board.
- Must work consistently to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness and to observe Federal, State, local, and overall regional company safety and health regulations. Must reflect an interest in company safety and health objectives and required to set a good example by always observing the rules as a part of the normal work routine.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product / process specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability requirements for the finished product.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical area or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years in Quality or Manufacturing environment
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience managing people
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
- Expert knowledge of Quality Management Systems standards
- Expertise in AIAG tools, auditing, statistical tools, and analysis
- Problem Solving

Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Graduate degree
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Black belt Certification
- ASQ CQE or CMQOE
- Lead QMS Auditor
- Advanced technical knowledge in product design functions, manufacturing processes, inspection, metrology, metallurgy, statistical methods, and quality auditing.
Position Success Criteria :
- A demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic planning and project management.
- Proven track record of leading and managing quality initiatives that have resulted in improved productivity and reducing cost of non-conformance in a manufacturing setting.
- Expertise with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Eaton Business Excellence Criteria, Project Management, Organizational change management, Quality Management System standards (i.e. ISO/TS 16949:2002, etc.)
- Interpersonal communication skills and leadership development ability
