Job Description
This position will provide management in relation to Quality Assurance programs as well as organize, plan, implement, and control a quality assurance program at the UK level which will deliver best in class overall customer satisfaction, reduce overall manufacturing costs and maintain MTL’s accreditation to manufacture products certified for hazardous area use. Responsible for developing and implementing quality management strategy and plans in line with overall Eaton Quality Programs including resources, systems and timescales. Work collaboratively with UK site leadership to implement the Eaton Quality Policy and establish Quality Objectives whilst creating and fostering a culture of individual quality ownership. Define and lead quality related action plan based on yearly customer satisfaction survey or any other customer feedback to establish and drive internal audit programmes and deliver appropriate communications across the Luton site as applicable. Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System and work to align the system to meet current business and customer needs while continuously evaluating its effectiveness and adherence. Responsible for managing and maintaining ISO9001, ISO/IEC80079-34 and IEC61508-1 accreditations for the Luton site. Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards and collate performance data from Luton and other MTL manufacturing sites for review by MTL leadership. Responsible for quality related performances according to agreed standards and driving necessary actions, through relevant teams, and communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels. Lead “COQ” activities and process improvements within the business. Define and implement regular processes aiming for continuous improvement. Lead and drive Scraps, Reworks and FTP continuous Improvement. Identify and effectively analyze process data to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the UK site processes, as well as associated quality, manufacturing, engineering and process personnel. Actively participate in developing and managing supplier quality performance including management of concerns and supplier auditing. Effectively work cross-functionally in developing and managing New Product Development and Introduction process in coordination with DMEDI Leader with active participation in all relevant Eaton Quality Integration activities. Qualifications Degree in relevant field Proven similar experience with project management experience and management of ISO9001 QMS in a highly regulated industry Good knowledge of 5S and other lean methodologies Highly proficient in MS Excel with the ability to produce detailed workbooks from scratch Good knowledge of statistical techniques for analyzing data Adaptable to new ways of operating and communication skills and able to lead a team in a matrix structure What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
