ABB Motors and Generators deliver a complete range of motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. We provide the highest quality and service to our customers all around the world, with a focus on helping to use energy more efficiently.
You will oversee all Quality Management activities for local division in line with quality, cost and schedule requirements. You will supervise quality assurance, quality control to meet specification and customer requirements. This is a Quality Manager role, reporting to the Operations Manager in Business Area – Motion located in Shanghai, China.
Your responsibilities
- Planning and developing a feasible quality management system based on company development strategy and management requirements, ensuring its effective running.
- Supporting to establish company quality policy and objectives, being responsible for implementing quality policy and objectives in company. Leading all employee quality awareness training, fostering continuous improvement quality culture.
- Coaching, monitoring and improving quality management system implementation within company. Lead internal audit, customer audit, third party audit and management review, supply improvement information to company quality management decision.
- Developing, maintaining and managing a team which is skilled and knowledgeable in quality management system, company quality management requirements and desire to improve quality management performance and improving quality management level by taking part in innovative activities continuously.
- Establishing company management regulations, ensuring all work quality, process quality and product quality are within control and fulfill customer requirements.
- Leading quality management team to monitor and measure quality management system non-conformities, work quality non-conformities, process quality non-conformities and product quality non-conformities, analyzing the root causes, taking corrective actions, pushing continuous improvement.
- Overseeing supplier quality management, developing feasible new supplier quality approval procedure, supplier quality regular management procedure, supplier material non-conformities handling procedure, supplier audit procedure and supplier quality performance assessment metrics, and ensuring they are fully implemented. Keeping up with supplier quality performance to fulfill ABB requirements and within control.

Your background
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Machinery, Electronics or related majors.
- Minimum of 6 years of working experience in quality/technology in manufacturing industry and 3 year of experience in managerial position. Experience in motor/generator industry is preferred.
- Must have good knowledge and experience of ISO9001:2000.
- Good experience in problem solving and must be capable of leading and learning.
- Must possess fluent oral and written English communication skills.
