B&B Precise Products, a family owned manufacturer located in Benton, Me, has immediate full time opportunities for experienced Machinists. We are an ISO9008:AS9100 machining company producing complex aerospace/defense products. This position requires a mechanically inclined, safety conscious, detail oriented person to Set-Up & Operate CNC Vertical & Horizontal Mills &/OR Lathes.

REQUIRED:

Minimum of 5 years Quality Management

The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining, reviewing, enhancing and developing internal procedures and policies which enable B & B Precise Products, Inc. to exceed customer requirements per AS9100D.

The Quality Manager monitors and advises on how the quality management system is performing and publishes data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators.

The QA Manager liaises with managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the Quality system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the Quality Manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Continually audits existing and new ISO 9008/ AS9100D procedures for compliance based on ISO/ AS9100 requirements and audit history
• Assure internal/ external corrective action opportunities are channeled through the NCR Non-conformance system
• Bring together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures
• Assume responsibility for holding the team accountable to ensure procedure compliance
• Work with customers to understand metrics of measurement to ensure that B & B exceeds customer requirements
• Liaise with customers and ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications
• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
• Set Quality compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
• Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability
• Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards
• Consider the application of environmental and health/safety standards
• Establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply
• Establish and maintains controls and documentation
• Identify relevant quality-related training needs
• Encourage team members to incorporate quality methods in their job duties
• Establish standards of service for customers or clients
• Monitor performance through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
