Job Description

Responsibilities of Position:

1. Plans day to day departmental operations.

2. Ensures policies, programs, plans, procedures and practices are carried out consistently and accurately. Audits work records and documentation for accuracy, to conduct analysis of trends and to produce forecasts.

3. Evaluates and recommends changes in methods, sampling techniques and control procedures and process.

4. Acts as liaison with other departments including manufacturing, engineering, program management and sales.

5. Estimates personnel needs and develops work methods to accomplish assigned work.

6. Prepares error, spoilage and salvage reports as per Company requirements.

7. Understands the requirements of IATF 16949/ISO 9001;2015 and ensures compliance to the standard along with the Plant Manager.

8. Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

9. Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department and ensures adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.

10. Leads and directs the work of others in the Quality Department.

11. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

12. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.


Skill Requirements:

1. Regular and predictable attendance and self-driven for excellence.

2. Must fully understand PPAP, 8D problem solving methodology, APQP roles, working knowledge of PFMEA’s and all other current and previous (past 6 years) quality tools as applicable.

3. Visits customers and suppliers to confer on specific quality issues and develops solutions. Able to travel at will and with very short notice both regionally and internationally.

4. Must have proven knowledge of the Automotive industry and able to develop and maintain key relationships with customers.

5. Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.

6. Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

7. Excellent written and verbal communications skills including English plus any local language. English is required. (written/verbal)


Education and Experience Requirements:

1. A college degree in engineering or other technical field and /or Business degree and with some manufacturing experience or other operations experience. Quality Management or Supervision is a must.

2. Previous experience in HVAC or Thermal Products would be a plus.
