Role Statement:
Lead the Industrial Quality Team and ensure that the quality systems, procedures and processes are in place in all TE relevant Plants, External Vendors sites that are supporting China Industrial Revenue. Make sure all above mentioned items are in line with internal and external global requirements with the objective of achieving an effective quality management to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Tasks:
Establish, implement, maintain and improve the Quality System
Methodical management to maintain and upgrade the total company's quality systems documentations such as quality manual, procedures and working instructions, develop and maintain a robust and transparent record system based on the requirement of ISO9000/TS16949 standard, IEC standard, and company requirements, set up and implement comprehensive and continuous knowledge measurement and training programs throughout the organization in order to establish a cohesive and standardized quality management system across all Energy locations in Asia.
Global quality process and procedure alignment
Actively contribute to set up standardized quality processes and procedures and ensure and maintain alignment with global quality standards in order to achieve a robust, transparent and efficient global quality system which ensures exceptional customer service.
Supplier Quality Management
Keep focus on supervision our Vendors especially for PBL vendors on their Quality System as well as their MFG Quality Process. Make sure TE can get defined right quality products or service agreed up with them. Doing regular audit and reporting on this field. Involve in New Product Introduction process to valid and select the right might to long term vendors that will work with TE.
Site Quality Management include Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA)
Lead to use, review, improvement and training of existing and new quality tools to achieve excellent quality performance, ensure product quality for our customers and lead or cooperate with other departments for process optimization, standardize routine testing procedures in order to improve the yield rate and overall site efficiency. Make sure to cover Raw Material ( RM ) Incoming Quality Control ( IQC ), Manufacturing Process Quality Control ( PQC ) and Final Product Control ( FQC )
Customer quality complaints handling
Making sure effective procedures and skilled resources are in place to collect and address all customer complaints, set up continuous improvement operation procedures in customer quality service to make business quality transitions smooth and effective. Establish regular customer complaints summary and report to management team for them to better lead/manage quality activities and achieve quality performance in order to deliver exceptional customer service.
New product and process development quality assurance
Establish and maintain in depth product and manufacturing process knowledge within the Quality team and establish superior expertise on quality critical design and process parameters in order to ensure that product and process development result into robust hence cost efficient designs and solutions delivering outstanding products to our customers.
Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management
Keep focus on service our customers by early engagement of product technical issue, failure product return and analysis process. Also actively passing through those value information to design team and product manager. Build and maintain superior customer relationships within technical and commercial areas in order to achieve highest level of customer intimacy and ensure a competitive advantage.
People Management
Review and provide timely feedback to direct reporters regarding their performance; Mentor, develop and motivate them; and help resolve functional issues in order to achieve targeted performance; Help and facilitate them on career development topics in order to develop our critical and key talents.
Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge:
Strategic thinking, people management, team experience and convincing key stakeholders
Key experience includes working knowledge of all areas of Quality
The ideal candidate will also have a strong degree of financial acumen since in this role you will “own the numbers”. We seek someone who has shaped and driven change across multiple businesses; not maintained the status quo. A record of on time and within budget is critical.
A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required. An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
Additional experience required includes:
At least 10 ~ 15 years experience in manufacturing, with proven track record of success in MFG areas experienceProven leader with outstanding strategic thinking skill who can deliver results in a competitive, complex, fast-paced and changing business environment with clear leadership
Strong issue analysis and problem solving skills and hands-on experience in leading 6 Sigma, lean manufacturing initiatives will be preferred
Multiple functional experiences like Project Management, Supply Chain Management will be a big plus
Particular Skills & Abilities Required:
Strategic thinking and analytical skills
Proven track record for program launch, team coordination, and project management
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills; the ability to hire, develop, support and motivate teams.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with working in teams across functions and countries in a matrixed organization is required.
