Position Summary:
The quality manager is responsible for supporting new adhesive plant in lab building, quality organization setup. And assist in RMs and FGs qualification plan, set up QMS with support of global quality team, develop RMs, in-process products and FGs testing methods and provide sufficient trainings to both lab technicians and production operators, lead to obtain ISO9001 certificate. Interact with the operation as well as R&D and TE teams to ensure new product introduction successfully. Lead product quality improvement program to make sure zero-defect products to be delivered to the customers. Lead off-spec product and customer complaint investigation and root cause analysis and quick response to the customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Set up a high qualified quality team by recruiting experienced and capable employees, and ensure the new quality team is established successfully and timely based on the hiring plan of the company. 2. Develop a comprehensive quality management system, policy with guidance of global quality team, ensure the quality management system and strategies are implemented and complied throughout the organizations. 3. Lead to draft the testing methods of RMs, by-products and FGs referring to the existing testing methods of brother plants in both USA and Singapore. And review those testing methods and specifications together with global quality team to ensure the accuracy. And provide the sufficient trainings to all related quality staff. 4. Lead to build new labs with supporting by project team and global quality team, which includes quality acceptance inspection for new lab equipment, lab decoration design, lab equipment installation inspection, calibration and tuning of lab equipment. And work out a round robin testing plan for RMs and FGs, make sure the plan is completed timely and effectively. 5. Prepare the spare parts of long lead time based on the practices of USA/Singapore plants and the recommendation of suppliers. Make good preparation for lab consumable materials before commissioning of the production lines. 6. In accordance with ISO9001 standard and structure, organize and instruct other departments to draft their procedures, working instructions and forms. And ensure those documents are reviewed and approved before implementation. 7. Develop a structural approach and criteria to audit RMs suppliers periodically to make sure their quality management systems meet our requirement. 8. Work out a detailed qualification plan for local RMs together with quality colleagues of USA, and make sure the local RMs are able to be qualified well in due course. 9. Develop a proper approach to audit manufacturing and warehouse to ensure the products to be made and stored by following the product SOPs, working instructions. 10. Lead the team to solve the quality issues happened in the process, and develops the short term and long-term solutions. 11. Response customer compliances quickly, organize the resources to make formal investigation and figure out the root causes. Provide the investigation 8D reports to the customers timely. 12. Develop a calibration and preventive maintenance plans for lab equipment, and ensure the plans to be implemented effectively and sufficiently. 13. Lead to draft the training materials and provide the trainings within organization effectively and sufficiently. 14. Organize monthly quality meeting by reviewing KPIs and tracking the improvement of action items. Ensure the open action items are closed in time. 15. Develop and implement an approach to motivate the employees to submit quality near misses and evaluate the near misses timely, and collaborate with related departments to ensure the near misses to be investigated and closed as quickly as possible. 16. Develop a NPI procedure, and lead the gateway reviews of NPI and ensure all action items are closed before the first batch is being made in the plant. 17. Lead to pass ISO9001 both internal and external audits and obtain the ISO9001 certificate after one-year mass production of new plant. 18. Prepare the documents for customers audit to ensure the product quality control system meets customers’ requirements, and listen to the voice of the customers and improve our works continuously to make the customers’ satisfaction.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in general chemistry, process chemistry or equivalent major etc.
10+ years of experiences in the chemical industry, 3 years quality manager role preferred.
Good English skills in reading, writing and oral speaking.
Experiences in RMs and FGs qualification and ISO9001 management system,
Proven management and leadership skills, strong team player.
