Description

The Site Quality Manager will be responsible for providing the overall strategy, direction and oversight for the Mfg Site Quality Assurance, Quality Control and support the product approval programs. S/he will drive the use of quality methodologies across the entire company, help implement a value-driven, quality-centric culture, and evolve a broad range of quality programs. This includes management of QMS processes and procedures such as documentation control, product and process audits, corrective action report, and support external product approvals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems and activities.
• Insure the quality management system complies with ISO 9000, and world area standards and directives. Serve as primary contact and facilitator to ensure that local and international certifications are established and maintained to support business objectives. Coordinate and integrate specific QMS and quality initiatives for affected divisions.
• Lead the Quality Department to provide planned improvements, including development of Quality System procedures and overall Quality System development.
• Lead receiving material inspection, manage the measurement lab and develop MRB process.
• Assist in new product transfers and introduction to review PFMEA/PCP on line, establish quality standards prior to initial production and measures post production.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through continuous audit, measurement, and tracking of total costs related to quality performance in operations processes and products.
• Lead the internal gate review process to manage the critical change happened in the factory.
• Lead CAR process to investigate and follow up the NC happened in the factory.
• Interpret and communicate company quality policies and procedures, report to senior management on the performance and effectiveness of the quality management systems and the need for improvement.
• Provide evaluation and assessment of the effectiveness of established systems, policies, and procedures to ensure appropriate implementation of the Quality Management System and to insure the awareness of customer requirements.
• Ensure that facility is staffed appropriately with adequate quality resources and that personnel that affect quality are properly developed and trained to support a continuous improvement, systems thinking philosophy.
• Recruit, train, develop, motivate and monitor the performance of employees for whom he/she is responsible.
• To implement ISO 9000/14000/IATF 16949 seriously and improve quality / environment / Occupational Health continuously.

Requirements

• 8+ years Quality leadership experience at the upper-management level, including an excellent knowledge of manufacturing operations, product quality standards, specifications, laws, and regulations established by various federal, state, and local agencies. Must be skilled in continuous improvement philosophies and the effective use of quality improvement tools such as Six Sigma, lean etc.
• BSME, BSEE, BSIE or the equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
• Have in-depth experience in Quality System development and implementation, product reliability, testing and senior level management systems.
• Lean Certification, Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Expert in Six Sigma methodologies and other recognized best-in-class quality system methodologies.
• Strong background and understanding of statistical process control and statistical measurement control, as well as the use of statistical methods for setting specifications.
