We are looking for a motivated colleague supporting our Fire Safety Segment in all operational and strategic matters related to our product and process quality. In this role, you will be a member of our management team. You will report to the Fire Safety Segment head, and functionally also to the Global Quality responsible of the Building Products Business Unit. You will act as the interface to our colleagues from the countries, the product management, R&D, procurement and manufacturing. Are you well-organized, and confident when challenging the status quo? Your new responsibilities In this role, you are responsible for the operational and strategic Quality Management of the product segment Fire Safety. You are part of the segment management team and will cooperate with various colleagues of our global organization, assuring a smooth interaction for preventing or solving quality cases You initiate corrective and preventive actions in case of quality or product safety issues and align with the field support organization, coach colleagues by using the right quality method or tool and apply the 8D-report systematics As management team member, you support the further strategic development of the segment’s organization and processes to continuously improve our overall customer and employee satisfaction When it comes to quality, you are the interface for internal and external partners, such as the business unit management, finance, research and development, our global supply chain, product lifecycle management, our manufacturing at seven global sites and environmental health and safety You are an active player in our global network of quality managers and support the agile/lean transition of the organization and coach team members and managers with respect to a growth mindset By closely working together with the Fire Safety regulations team and leading / supporting the audit programs and assessments you ensure the compliance of our manufacturing sites to the required industry standards With your proactive attitude, you strive to analyze customer quality requirements and satisfaction (e.g. NPS) appropriately in order to meet customer expectations Your skills and experience A bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, ideally in Electronics / Mechanical - or Process Engineering, or similar education You are a guide in manufacturing technologies, process engineering and electronics. You worked in Quality Management in the last years and ideally covered neighboring functions to provide you with the necessary expertise to be successful in this function Audits and process management tools paired with Quality Management methods, norms, statistics belong to your knowledge With your seniority you can take influence also on Executive level, withstand a high degree of pressure and get the respect of your internal and external partners across all hierarchies In the past you worked already in industrial matrix organizations, making it easy for you to navigate within our global company With a structured and open mentality, you have an out-of-the-box thinking to continuously seek for improvements of the whole value chain Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English is a prerequisite Please mind that a work eligibility for Switzerland is a prerequisite, as we have to adhere to Swiss Migration laws.
