Job Description
Eaton’s Haina DR is currently seeking for a Quality Manager to join our team. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Attain plant Quality Goals, maintain, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Assure plans are implemented and attain results. Deploy the applicable elements and initiatives of EBS tools (EQMS) to accomplish Operational Excellence. Facilitate and ensure process changes procedures are followed for all Haina Operations ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible to coordinate and supervise the Quality Supervisors, assistants, and accountable for Document Control clerks, Calibration Technicians, Quality Coordinators and other members of the department. Manage the improvement and prepare reports with all the quality performance indicators of the operation: Customer DPPM, Internal PPM, Supplier PPM, Validation and Test Audit data, Internal Quality Alerts, Non-conforming material quality Communication, external component quality alerts, and A3s, 3ups as needed. Plan, execute and sustain EQMS System and ISO 9001:2015 certification, plus other third party certifications as applicable to the business. Lead EBS local assessment as OpA preparation & support. Participate in different forums to support Plant Operation Excellence: Plant Operating reviews and supplemental Management review meetings. Division Operational Reviews Support. Productions and Leadership Team meetings preparation and Support. Process Audits execution and improvements. Quality System Internal Audits QFR with Division. Drive continuous improvement through accomplishment of KSO assigned projects. Responsible to establish, develop and execute cost saving projects –mainly CONC reduction- and quality projects and improvements at the manufacturing lines. Responsible for control implementation in manufacturing processes, drive PFMEA analysis and RPN reductions, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capabilities and overall CAPA effective implementation For Customer Complaints, the Plant Quality Manager is responsible for all containment actions and leading the problem solving CAPA teams for root cause analysis evaluation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions at the manufacturing processes. When Non-conforming parts are introduced into the assembly processes, the Plant Quality Manager is responsible to make sure that the preliminary analysis are properly completed by the Quality Supervisors, the containment of all non-conforming parts in WIP and other locations in the plant is completed, that the initial Non-Conformance reports are communicated to the supplier and that disposition is given based on the impact of the NC to the process &/or product. Develop and analyze statistical data and product / process specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability requirements for finished products. Ensures Production Part Approval Processes, First Article inspection and customer specific requirements are performed and/or achieved as required. Ensure that process changes needed for the Quality Management System are controlled, implemented and maintained as applicable. Support New Product development validation in Operations as well as support any plant –to-plant or Business-to-Business, product line transition using ProLaunch program. Ensure functional competencies are being accomplished by all Quality Personnel target, in alignment with EQMS / OpA criteria requirements. Act as a key contributor in the development and deployment of functional strategy in alignment with the annual profit plan and Strategy Deployment Sessions. Additional to items described above, incumbent for ICD Haina business will be accountable from Supplier Management Shared with PCD Plant and Warranty Complaints Management trough PIC-Product Integrity Center: Responsible to coordinate and supervise the Supplier Quality Management activities, and lead supplier quality engineers, assistants, coordinators, and incoming technicians. Comply with all requirements and communication related to the management of supplier performance and supplier claims, including the compliance to related corporate and/or internal policies and procedures (APQP/PPAP, Supplier Certification, Supplier DPPM and DMR Management, etc.). Accountable for the PIC for Haina ICD Plant. This organization supports all business located at Haina in the evaluation of customer complaints, processing of warranty credit and providing warranty data to the Haina plants Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS) Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator. ISO14001 Certification. Assist to all EHS training assigned. Promote and promulgate all MESH Process and Policies to all the employees under his/her supervisor and ensure that they are being performed at his/her area / manufacturing line. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision. Facilitate MESH training as assigned per Champion of Category #LI-SL4 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Bachelor’s degree on industrial, electrical, or electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science. Master’s degree in quality, Engineering, Operations, administration, or other science. Minimum experience of 7 years in similar positions. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish) PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Access, and AS400, Minitab, Vista, Power BI Knowledge: Lean Tools, 6 Sigma and Technical Statistics ISO 9001:2015 08 Lead Auditor Pro-Launch tools knowledge CAPA knowledge: 8D, 5 why, Ishikawa, Pareto.
