Job Description
Siemens Logistics is a leading provider of innovative products and solutions in mail and parcel logistics and automation as well as in airport logistics with baggage and cargo handling. Software solutions and customer services along the complete product life cycle complete the portfolio. Major customers include renowned airports as well as postal and parcel service providers around the globe. The QEHS Manager will be responsible for managing Quality and EHS matters across Operating Sites, leading the EHS Officers and ensuring the implementation and certification of SIEMENS Logistics Portugal Integrated Management System. What are my Responsibilities? • Lead operational Quality personnel under scope; • Lead operational EHS Officers under scope; • Support Operations Management on quality and EHS aspects, together with other technical disciplines under the scope of project execution; • Working together with project leaders to discuss solutions to quality and EHS issues; • Scheduling project plans along with the Quality in Projects team to fit project deadlines; • Support sales activities within area of expertise; • Complying with ISO accreditation requirements; • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System across the Operations under scope; • Plan and perform assurance activities in accordance with Management System and Certification requirements; • Ensure identification/reporting of Quality or EHS Incidents and perform investigations and follow-up as required; • Drive continuous improvement in operational ways-of-working; • Interface with Clients, Certification bodies on quality and EHS matters. What do I need to qualify for this job? • University degree including Quality Management fields of expertise or corresponding experience in the area; • Fluent in English; • At least 5 years of experience leading a team in a corporate environment; • Senior Quality and EHS professional with proven Operational Management skills; • Previous experience in Industrial Automation quality and EHS management or TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) will be valued; • Previous experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (Q), will be valued; • Experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean Management will be valued; • Qualified Lead Auditor; • Knowledge on Total Quality Management and Quality Processes Automation is highly valued. • Availability for occasional travel to overseas operating sites.
