Job Summary Eaton’s eMobility EV Automotive North America Operations is currently seeking a talented Quality Manager. This position is based in Tualatin, Oregon where she/he will be leading the Customer Quality Strategy in a site that includes a manufacturing facility, a design and program management center and a sales workforce. This position will support our Tualatin Oregon Manufacturing facility. Canadidate MUST report on-site M-F with no remote options. * Relocation assistance to Tualatin Oregon area is available for a qualified candidate currently residing in the USA. Job Responsibilites • Own the Quality Management System of the entire site including current production, new product launches. Tualatin site includes mainly three functions Operations, Design Engineering and Sales. • Serve as an active member of the Tualatin site Leadership team, fulfilling leadership duties and providing input for strategy, direction & continuous improvement in the area of quality and customer interface. • Deploy quality plan at the operational level in conjunction with the Division Quality group to provide overall quality leadership to the site. • Transform the organization from one focused on conventional detection and containment to one focused on best-in-class prevention and problem-solving utilizing 8D and A3 methodologies while leveraging Eaton’s 4.0 and digital transformation tools. • Provide support in Total Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, business partners, and the other support service functions such as, Materials, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Technologies, Sales other Division resources. • Manage the Quality strategic and tactical activities to facilitate continuous production of products consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. • Lead third party and internal quality system audits within the region. • Responsible for site’s quality certificate such as ISO, IAFT and customer quality requirement compliance • Implement systems and processes that deliver improvement toward 100% conformance to customer requirements. • Drive rigorous metrics related to the Balanced Scorecard (CONC, Customer DPPM, Internal DPPM, Suppliers DPPM, etc) to evaluate performance and drive reduction in variability/defects in critical business processes. • Communicates with customers and lead Quality team during problem resolution processes • Lead PPAP, assist and provide quality support to APQP to complete PPAP package to customers: Dimensional Layouts, Gage R&R studies, Capability studies, IMDS, Appearance Approval Report [AAR], Samples and Documents to be submitted. • Develop systems for managing supplier performance. Provide Quality interface, expertise and support to the organization’s suppliers and partners. • Build relationships with other Division and Corporate resources in order to support identification, review, prioritization and execution of key improvements opportunities/projects to drive results • Support EBS integration through detailed understanding and effective deployment of processes and tools – including obtaining training & certifications and acting as process champion as required (e.g. E OpA, MESH, Lean Six Sigma) • Manage the Quality strategy to facilitate continuous production of products consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. • Drive CI mindset across Tualatin Site which includes Operations, Design Engineering and Sales Qualifications Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited instituition. • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Quality systems management in a manufacturing environment. • Minimum three (3) years’ experience supervising direct reports. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without immediate or future company visa sponsorship . Preferred Qualifications • BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited instituition. • Previous experience working in an automotive sector. • Minimum three (3) years of experience in SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP requirements • Proven and practical knowledge of how to solve problems with tools such as 8D, FTA, Cause and Effect Diagram • Experience leading cross functional teams in problem solving, audits findings and/or CI projects • Certified as Internal auditor certificate as required by IATF 16949 • Green Belt certificate or Black Belt are preferred Soft Skills • Communicates effectively in English and across cultures. Proficient English business writing skills. • Self-motivates and comfortable operating independently. Able to work under remote management .
