Job Description

As a QA Production Operator at MTB, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining equipment and ensuring quality of process and product. In this role you will need to troubleshoot problems with equipment/product by prioritizing alarms, logging the machines when necessary and communicating to the appropriate personnel. Other responsibilities include contributing to the safe work environment by following safety procedures and promptly reporting identified hazards.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Operate and Maintain Equipment

• Monitor and operate multiple machines

• Demonstrate ability to use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily job duties

• Provide machine coverage during breaks

• Verify that machine is logged accurately

• Monitor equipment performance discrepancies and communicate to appropriate personnel

Troubleshoot Problems with Equipment and Product

• Log machines when necessary

• Display an appropriate sense of urgency and prioritize machine alarms

• Use problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and suggest resolutions to appropriate personnel

Ensure Quality of Process and Product

• Run equipment based on current process requirements (e.g. procedures, change notifications, etc.)

• Perform required machine checks, buddy checks (when applicable), and surveillance

• Identify deviations and apply appropriate deviation codes

• Verify lot information in product tracking systems

• Perform SPC checks (when required) and enter accurate data

• Prevent scrap by using proper handling methods for transporting product and supplies

Organize workstations

• Make suggestions to increase quality and efficiency of processes

Demonstrate Initiative

• Perform assigned tasks on time and follow through with commitments without being reminded

• Accept responsibility and be accountable for performance

• Remain productive during process/ machine idle times - seek out tasks

• Contribute to the cleanliness of the area

Contribute to a Safe and Compliant Work Environment

• Identify and promptly report hazards

• Follow safety procedures and area work rules (including use of proper PPE and chemical safety)

• Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner

• Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company guidelines
