Eaton Mission Systems, formally Cobham Mission Systems, is seeking a Quality Supervisor at our Davenport, Iowa facility. Sponsorship is not available! Position Overview: The primary role is to manage remote locations throughout the plant. The Quality Supervisor will oversee the General Inspectors of Mission Systems equipment used in the Aerospace and Defense industry. In this function you will: Manages a quality team that includes general inspectors, layout inspectors, Specialist A inspectors, receiving clerks, Quality Technicians, and Senior Quality Technicians Responsible for the selection, hiring and training of new employees as well as overseeing day-to-day workflow, scheduling and providing positive feedback and discipline to direct reports Responsible for quality improvement issues related to vendors and suppliers of materials, products, or services used in development or manufacturing; works with suppliers to develop and improve entire supply chain. Works with purchasing Provides technical support on metrology issues to internal customers and suppliers Tracks necessary measurements of productivity. Maintains quality department performance metrics and compiles reports. Identifies and implements continuous productivity and quality improvements Expedites parts and other materials Ensures receiving, in-process, and final inspection methods are being conducted thoroughly and efficiently. Provides budget input Meets goals and objectives including, but not limited to budgets and productivity Administers labor contract and suggests changes as required for CBA negotiations. Provides guidance and keeps employees informed of policies and operational changes Uses computer to accomplish responsibilities Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles Actively promote and enforce adherence to S|H|E rules and procedures Identify and effect change to reduce risks of harm and minimize waste and resources used. Communicate to employees, visitors and customers that health and safety and a concern for the environment are values for Cobham Promote and facilitate incident and near miss reporting All other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1 year of experience in a manufacturing experience Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
