Responsibilities:

• Leads the development of a cohesive quality team to include Quality, Testing and Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Control, Factory Qualifications, Quality System, Third party suppliers and legal/social compliance

• Leads the product development activity from all aspects of Quality, Testing and Manufacturing Engineering demonstrating cross – functional Leadership and ensuring 5 Star products are delivered as per business directives

• Utilize primary methods of control and improvement vehicles including SPC, Six-Sigma, Product Improvement Teams and Data collection and Analysis.

• Plan, organize and direct resources in line with business requirements.

• Provide strategy for continuous improvement goals to specifically reduce returns rates across all product categories incrementally year over year

• Develop, build and expand the organization meet departmental goals and objectives.

• Implement key strategies and meet targets and objectives as defined in departmental goals.

• Specifically improve field Quality as measured by model return rates. Directs strategy on return rate reduction

• Quality System: Quality Plan, 8D (CAR), PSI, Criteria, Documentation

• Full factory audits for compliance to all applicable Quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001).

• Maintains safe and effective working standards for all personnel

• Makes key decisions regarding product disposition based on available information.

• Provides high level communication summaries and presentations for management as required.

Directs sub supplier management activities – Approval and development activities

Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 20 years’ experience in quality field of home appliance.

• Must have 10 years of on the job experience in high volume consumer products manufactured in Asia.

Demonstrated experience as a leader of cross-functional teams in a matrix organization environment

Education/Certifications/Affiliations

• Must have a minimum of a BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related science.

• MBA (preferred)
