We recently announced Azure Quantum, the world’s first full-stack, open cloud ecosystem that enables quantum impact today. Together with our partners, we’re assembling the industry’s most complete selection of quantum solutions, software, and hardware in Azure. As we evolve Azure quantum, the scale of Azure Quantum services and partners will grow. We’re looking for an experienced Program Manager Lead to help us build out the team that will deliver these services and create a culture of service excellence for Microsoft and our quantum partners. You’ll have an opportunity to learn about quantum concepts in this role, and you don’t need to be a quantum expert to join our team. 

As the PM Lead for Quantum Services, you’ll help us define the strategy and metrics for our success, while creating the experience specifications and schedule for continuous delivery. You’ll hire the very best people onto our growing team, and provide great partnership to engineering, marketing, business development, and partner teams. 

Responsibilities

• Creating a culture of service excellence, customer satisfaction, and innovation with great hires and experienced coaching. 
• Strategy & Planning – Develop a services strategy, supported by a detailed planning process with success metrics, resource requirements, and goals   
• Progress Reporting – Communicate wins and challenges, and maintain an up-to-date view of progress that enables data-driven decision-making and adjustments to the program based on learnings, with a focus on leadership and executive audiences. 
• Sustainable Partnerships – At Microsoft and throughout the industry. You’ll mange dependences with other engineering teams, vendors, other disciplines. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Arts computer sciences, computer engineering, or similar field.   
• Experience managing a team of project or program managers, or similar set of technical talent. 
• Curiosity to innovate in new technology areas.  
• Ability to collaborate deeply and communicate clearly across all mediums. An ability to teach will help you to help us, as you’ll not only fill creative needs on our team, but have an opportunity to coach others in the process. 
• 5+ years of experience delivering production-quality, global-scale cloud services on a major cloud platform. 
• Experience in systems integration will be helpful to you in this role.
