Be part of the next revolution in computing! Join Microsoft’s Quantum Systems Team and work on applications of new computing hardware including quantum computers. Our mission is to develop computing systems to solve currently unsolvable problems. We are looking for an exceptional software developer to be part of a services-focused team with applications ranging from optimization to quantum computing. You and the services team will work on offering solutions across a range of hardware platforms, including commodity hardware and FPGAs today and quantum hardware in the future. 

Responsibilities

You will develop, implement, test, and optimize, and maintain quantum inspired algorithms, solutions, and services.  

Key success factors include:  

• Demonstrated skill in the development of highly optimized software across a range of platforms.  
• Experience programming FPGAs and/or GPUs is a plus

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience using Python, C++, or another high-level language for academic/scientific applications.  

• University degree in computer science, physics, or related areas.  
• Experience in either high performance computing or optimization problems desired.  
• Experience in building high-scale services is a plus. 
• Eagerness to learn new technologies.  
• Ability to succeed in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
