Job Title: R&D Chemist, Decoration

Report to: Lab Resource Manager

Business Unit: DSM Coating Resins

Location: Shanghai

The Challenge:

• To provide new resin synthesis support to sales and IM according to market requirements in Asia.

• Various requirements from different customers

• Solid knowledge of the products/chemistry

The Position:

• To provide support (before and after sales) to sales, industry manager, and technical service in China by synthesis of acrylate emulsion product for decoration industry.

• Develop new products to satisfy market requirement.

• Capable to design, modify and synthesis the Acrylate emulsion according to the information of market.

• Capable to search and analyze IP, prepare IP documents for new products.

• Keep well informed about wall coating technical development, new application and new products.

• Daily contact with other labs for technical issues.

• Investigate, document and resolve complaints and industry manger’s technical request in a timely fashion.

• Accomplish maintenance of lab and relevant equipment.

• Report fully, regularly and in the proper format according to the DSM China procedures and DSM Shanghai standards.

• Carry out any other instructions from senior management relating to DCR business.

• Understand and obey all the policies and rules about SHE& Security management in site strictly.

• Understand and be familiar with all related information and knowledge about SHE & Security management.

• Take part in training about SHE & Security management in site actively, in order to improve one’s awareness about SHE & Security management.

• Give improved advice to our superior about SHE & Security management actively.

• If find out any significant risk about SHE & Security management at work, should tell it to our superior immediately.

The Ideal:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree, major in chemistry/polymer technology

• Working experience in the field of synthesis/polymerization for at least 2 years.

• Good lab SHE awareness

• Team cooperation ability
