The “R&D Efficiency&support team” has to address and support all the R&D activities to cover our multi-disciplines offers , to align, harmonize all the methods&tools, design processes, within a common approach and mindset. The main mission of this team, with a global responsibility for the Medium Voltage Offer Line of Business, is to increase efficiency and worldwide collaboration.

Main Role

As part and member of this team, you are the regional support leader & referent to drive ELM technical subjects, coach all our Chinese design centers as well as the ones located in France, Germany, India, Spain, USA for specific or global actions.

In addition, your are the regional R&D Efficiency representative in charge of capturing all the needs, working with the team, driving these corresponding regional actions in other disciplines.

Key responsibilities / activities:

• Drive the “Robust Design” activity according to the priorities setup at the team governance & management level
• Deploy, align the common & corporate practices to ensure the efficiency, quality and

• Take over the technical items & actions thru an efficient coaching capability and

• Manage the tools&data harmonization including the related change management (migration, methods&tools evolution)
• Create and animate the Regional technical ELM network and community of Designers and R&D population
• Setup action plans to improve the knowledge and related competences in R&D centers
• Support, coach people on Product Evolution Processes, participate in peers & design reviews when needed
• Communicate, make the results and improvements visible (Evaluate by regular assessment / audit)
• Be the regional representative for corporate programs and initiatives (New generation of PDM, CAD, CAE tools&methods ... )

Skill & qualifications :

University degree or Engineering school degree, in the field of Electro Mechanical
engineering

• English, Communication & teamwork skills, Project & functional Management, Autonomy
• Minimum 8 years experienced in Engineering &Design
• Experience & leadership in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams and environments

Knowledge of electrical engineering industry, product development

• High capability to coach, lead, influence and convince and to conduct change management throughout pedagogic approach
• Expertise in ELM Design, good understanding of Functional design

• Mastering of corporate and quality processes and tools
