1. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES主要职责

1) R&D Projects Coordination

The R&D Engineer will work with the Process & Technical Manage to support their role in both domestic and international technical projects undertaken by Omnova China. This will required strong sense of accountability & responsibilities, and effective communication by phone and email to address specific action items on a daily basis. This will include :

• Develop new products and process based on customer specification, establish development plan and ensure delivery of outcome as per agreed deadline.
• Taking high accountability and initiatives to coordinate, to initiate action and to solve technical issues and make improvement to current products.
• Communicating specific actions and enquiries to the Chinese technical teams in Shanghai and also with other functions in the local operations
• Routine and properly scheduled follow up on all prior action items and review progress on all active projects, establish action to close performance gap and meet deadlines.
• Managing project documentation and establish proper documentation and filling system with good traceability.
• Working closely with other related functions (Technical, Operation, Sales etc) to ensure high level of integration of effort and promote team work in resolving daily technical issues.

2) Technical Engineering

This role involves conducting technical work and coordinating with local technical resource to support a series of development projects, which currently include:

• Conduct production trial, preparation of lab samples and materials to support NPD projects
• Manage R&D projects with high success rate/low risk to support new business development
• Evaluation of new raw materials using International raw materials evaluation processes
• Able to strictly adhere to ISO9000 procedure requirement and follow Omnova NPD processes using proper DOE approach.
• Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures for production of newly developed products. This will include preparing SOP documentation, control plan, FMEA, key operating parameters and etc.
• Interact with customer on a routine basis or perform customer visit to gain customer feedback to understand market needs and facilitate future products improvement
• Managing the sample preparation work in lab for submission to customers which included managing the mini-casting line operation.
• With the sponsor from the management, carry out necessary kaizen or LSS project to facilitate improvement and cost reduction work within the operation functions

2. PERSON REQUIREMENT任职资格

1）人造革行业三年以上相关工作经验

2）良好的英文沟通能力

3）熟悉人造革原理及体系架构

4）熟悉 PVC,PUR,PUD等相关材料体系

5）熟悉压延法及涂布法成型工艺

6）具有良好的沟通能力，团队精神，及优良的组织管理能力
