This is a Research and Development Engineer role reporting to the R&D Software Team Leader in the Business Area – Motion, Drive Products located in Beijing, China.

Your responsibilities

• Being a member of Drive Software team in the development department and developing embedded software for the Drive Products.
• Leveraging best-practice software engineering processes, utilizing appropriate tools.
• Providing debugging support for existing designs, ensuring prompt rectification of problems.

Your background

• Must have a bachelor’s degree with major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic or Automation Engineering, master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Must have a strong software development background, should be familiar with all aspects of the software development life cycle. Coding experience in common software programming languages, C and C++ is a must.
• Must have experience in design and development knowledge about Industrial products (handling and programming, experience in development on real-time operation system.
• Must have excellent English communication skills and must be willing to travel domestically and internationally which can be few weeks per year.
• Knowledge of other programming languages, such as C#, Python; knowledge in Industrial motor and motor control; good understanding of drive related industrial applications are good to have.
