This is a R&D Engineer - External role reporting to the R&D Team Manager in the Business Area - Robotics & Discrete Automation, located in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

• Working as a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Software (SW) engineer in R&D department.
• Being responsible for robot HMI software development, testing, verification and maintenance.
• Being responsible for design and test documents.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Mechanical, Automation or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in HMI / Web App SW development and testing.
• Highly proficient with JS / C#, Python.
• Knowledge of Agile development process.
• Ability to communicate in English (reading and writing skills) are mandatory.
• Ability to solve problem, teamwork skills and time management.Positive attitude to work, engagement in the tasks and a strong result-orientation.
• Experience in robot or IOT products development and test is a plus.
