This is a R&D Engineer - External role reporting to the R&D Team Manager in the Business Area - Robotics & Discrete Automation, located in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for products design in R&D department.
• Providing concept and details design of mechanical of new product within cost and timing.
• Preparing related technical documents and Bill of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing.
• Building prototype to test and related documents.
• Supporting sourcing activities, manufacturing and production functions.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Bachelor or above’s degree on mechanical or related.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design. Should be interested in mechanical design.
• Experience in product development is preferred.
• A team player, good communicator and can work under pressure.
• Highly motivated at work. Good at planning, coordination and presentation.
• Good command of English.
