This is a R&D Engineer – External role reporting to the R&D Team Manager in the Business Area – Robotics & Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

• Testing and assembling, gearbox and oil seal test bench design.
• Acquiring, processing and analyzing the test data.
• Assisting other engineers to disassemble failed components and performing failure analysis.
• Maintaining test related documents.
• Cooperating and coordinating with project team and third party, ensuring test process smoothly and efficiently.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanics.
• Minimum 3 years of related working experience.
• Rich experience in non-standard design, master popular sensor model selection and experience in testing is preferred.
• Must be familiar with Harmonic and RV gearbox working principle, common failure modes and causes, interface design requirement and test bench design scheme.
• Must be familiar with oil sealing usage, shaft and housing design and test bench design.
• Fair knowledge of robot joint popular structure design.
• Must be familiar with popular data processing methods such as time-domain/frequency-domain analysis for vibration test data.
• Good programming language skills such as MATLAB, Python GUI programing, able to process and analyze test data using the developed programs.
