This is a R&D Engineer - External role reporting to the R&D Team Manager in the Business Area - Robotics & Discrete Automation, located in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

• Working as a C# developer in R&D department.
• Being responsible for robot application software development.
• Being responsible for project report document and for process document.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Mechanical, Automation or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in standard & regulation affairs.
• Good skill level in C# or C++ software development.
• Good communication skills in English, ability to read and write in English are mandatory.
• Ability to solve problem, teamwork skills and time management, positive attitude to work, engagement in the tasks and a strong result-orientation.
• WPF development experience, development/test experience of robot/automation system, knowledge/experience of auto-testing, knowledge of Agile development process and experience in robot or relevant product development process are good to have skills.
