The R&D Controlling Team is a focused team that provides reporting and financial control support across all R&D, BBU and OBU.
The R&D Finance Master Data Controller will work within the R&D Controlling Team, overseeing R&D finance master data that forms a basis for correct reporting and planning.
The R&D Finance Master Data Controller will act as point of contact for Central Data Management Team, R&D Finance Business Partners and Project Finance Managers.
The role will involve continues liaison with multiple stakeholders.
Finally, it is expected this role will have additional responsibilities that could include leading improvement projects, representing the R&D finance interests with Group/cross-functional teams or other ad hoc activities.

The role will be based in Warsaw and will report to the R&D Controlling Manager.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Act as R&D Data Steward
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the R&D Finance master data area providing support and advisory to various stakeholders
Ensure that requested finance master data meets management and statutory reporting requirements as well as global and local finance master data requirements
Carry out maintenance and development of MS Access based R&D request management tool (Shelma)
Be responsible for preparing current and future management unit structure, maintain management units to PLANIT departments mappings and PLANIT to Hyperion mappings
Have an understanding of R&D master data and its relationship with reporting and planning systems
Ensure compliance of hierarchies in various systems
Collect and validate finance master data requests coming from R&D Finance Business Partners
Validate if requests were properly executed in SAP/ DRM
Work with Central Data Management Team to feedback on master data quality issues faced by R&D Finance.
Perform management to statutory reporting data reconciliation
Develop training content and provide master data related training to the end user community
Provide timely communications about SET area or Global process changes, deadlines for master data changes request, etc.
Participate in UAT of master data related tools developed by Group
Support processes simplification and standardization
Contribute as an expert to various IT or Finance projects which relate to R&D Finance

Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience
Essential:
Experience of finance and working on financial systems is required. Self-motivation and a commitment to team work are key. Personal development will be a key part of the role and you will be supported to develop yourself and your skills whilst in the role.
Master degree in Finance
Experience of working on databases
Experienced business, data or systems analyst with knowledge of good information management principles.
Experience managing and implementing system changes
Experienced working in complex global organisation
Cross boundary experience including building relationships remotely and cross-culturally
English Language proficiency is a must, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions
Excellent PC skills including SAP, MS Access, MS Excel
A track record of continuous process improvement and delivering efficient ways of working across a complex global organization
