Job Objective/ Position Overview:

The Momentive Performance Material Technology group based in Shanghai, China, has one part-time opening for intern supporting R&D Scientist on new product development. The candidates are expected to be undergraduate students in chemistry or polymer science and preferred in colloidal chemistry or with emulsion or emulsion polymerization experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist R&D scientist in the lab to develop new products (particularly emulsion products), formulations and test protocols in support of the Personal Care application developments, including preparin.g emulsions, conducting emulsion polymerization and evaluating its properties in final formulation.
• Clear communication and reporting of laboratory activities.
• Maintain a safe and orderly laboratory work environment.

Minimum Qualifications：

• Postgraduate students in Chemistry or Polymer Science, preferred in colloidal chemistry or with emulsion or emulsion polymerization experience.
• Full time at summer season (July~ Auguest) and 2~4 days after summer.
• Awareness of safe laboratory operations and chemical handling.
• Open-minded with good interpersonal & communication skills Preferred Qualifications
• Have a good knowledge of emulsions
• Self-motivated individual with high level of technical curiosity.
