RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Assume leadership for low or moderate risk ME projects in relevant categories, ensuring the implementation of NPDs/EPDs at regional/local level by ensuring all required formulation, feasibility work, analysis, validation, stability testing, industrial trials and dossier preparation are performed on time and to the required internal and external standards and market conditions.

? Assist in responding to consumer complaints and quality issues, competitor challenges and legal inquiries concerning technical matters relating to products marketed within the region.

? Help support Supply in production start-up, quality improvements and cost savings projects.

? Collaborate closely with local marketing to provide technical expertise that supports marketing programs and to provide local business support.

? Support other Scientific Services teams and R&D categories by providing a clear definition of products, marketing claims and raw material requirements from a regional/local perspective and by providing technical input and support in the preparation of the claim support data.

? May act as a technical resource to help educate local functions on technology and specific products within the category.

? Implement global product initiatives with R&D category development guidance and final approval.

? Maintain good communication with marketing, supply, R&D categories and shared service functions to accomplish objectives.

? Interact with other regional Scientific Services colleagues to share best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Educated to degree level (chemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering or other relevant science) PhD or Masters, or Technician Certificate/Associate Degree or Diploma.
? Experience in a FMCG company desirable

? Project management, prioritization and problem solving skills desirable

? Good formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions
? Good negotiating and interpersonal skills

? Good organizational and problem solving skills

? Ability to identify and communicate risks

? Capable of building strong working relationships and strong networking skills

? Good analytical skills

? Strong intellectual curiosity, appetite for exploring new and previously uncharted territories

? Good communication skills both written and oral in English and good presentation skills

? Performance testing and market research knowledge desirable

? Application of quality, sustainability and regulatory standards
