Responsibilities:

• Manage RD operation of a RD group
• Experience in Apparel industry is a MUST
• Able to perform both merchandising and R&D functions
• Follow up closely on proto tracking and shipment
• Act as the bridge between internal European buyers & production team and factories & suppliers and fabric mills in China, Bangladesh and other emerging markets
• Liaison with internal European buyers to understand their market trends in order to source for different garment products and fabric for Headquarter (HQ) in Germany
• Able to perform trend research and keep up with new innovation especially in terms of yarns development

Requirements:

• University graduates, in textile & clothing related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in garment R&D
• Strong fashion sense and creative mindset is a must
• Strong knowledge in yarns development and be able to stay updated with latest market trend
• Strong team player with excellent communication skill
• Experience working with European markets and have off-shore exposure especially in China, Bangladesh and other Far East countries
• Ability to resolve sample development and production problems
