Responsibilities:

The appointee will provide support in research & development activities of the centre and he/she is required to demonstrate technical competence in at least one of the following areas:

• Design & development of robot sensors/actuators;

• AI and machine learning in computer vision and/or Natural Language Processing (NLP);  

• Mobile robots; 

• FPGA and embedded systems; 

• Edge computing, 5G and V2X for smart city implementation.

Requirements:

Applicants should have:

• Master or Ph.D. Degree holder in Robotics, AI, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering disciplines;

• At least 8 years related work experience;

• Knowledge/experience in design/develop of a prototype/system from scratch and launch to market successfully;

• Knowledge in local and overseas markets for niche products/systems;  

• Ability to build a detail BoM;

• Familiar with manufacturing processes and cost reductions;  

• Candidate with strong technical competence may consider for the position of “System Analyst” or “Senior R&D Engineer”
