Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, R&D RMSC Digital Strategist Group Product Owner, are to: 

 

 Digital Transformation & IT Strategy:

 

  • Evangelize digital change throughout the science & Innovation community and drive the digital agenda e.g. digital transformation & IT
  • Research digital trends in R&D/RMSC, scout the CPG industry for transformative trends and define value for our consumers and customers
  • Co-shape the function`s digital transformation & IT strategies together with Digital Lead, Function leads, product managers and define IT innovation along priorities across innovation and product development (Design & Packaging, Development Centers, PLM, Clinical/Medical, Regulatory/PV). Understand the full business and technical scope of the digital product area
  • Create business case, influence investment decisions, secure funding across the platform
  • Using both an internal and external network (e.g., other companies, software providers), understand cutting-edge technologies (example: Product Lifecycle Management, Cloud, automation, IT, Lifecycle Analysis, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Sustainability, Modeling & Simulation, and Project Portfolio Management) and drive innovation for respective areas of responsibility, understand digital product capabilities, roadmap, and lifecycles

 

Group Product Owner:

 

  • Work with product managers and solution architect to translate vision into reality and create product roadmaps
  • Represent CH DT/IT Product and Pipeline Platform in portfolio planning process
  • Ensure digital products accelerate data science and the Consumer Health strategy by producing data and consuming data assets where applicable
  • Support product owner and product managers in the Product and Platform pipeline by getting products off the ground and tracking the lifecycle of each digital product and its supporting technologies.
  • Support Product Owners and managers in tracking benefit realization of products and consistently articulating the value of digital investments
  • Work with Digital Lead and track Total Cost of Ownership to build culture and key skills of the platform team, create an open, collaborative, and inspiring platform team to drive change across the team

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, computer science, marketing, business; or similar
  • 10 year of experience designing, developing, delivering or leading software solutions (ideally in an agile environment supporting the lifecycle of software products (development, testing, launch, training support) in a complex and/or global environment.
  • Experience working in Consumer Health / FMCG industry in a R&D or Regulatory, Medical, Clinical, Safety function.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve solution strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
  • Ability to define, effectively communicate and measure the business value of initiatives. Effective and persuasive communicator, with executive presence and ability to build followership
  • Ability to think strategically about technology and execute as necessary
  • Digital literacy and proven ability to drive change pragmatically using novel technologies
  • Strong external network in innovative digital technologies (e.g., innovators in academia and startups)
  • Self-directed with eternal curiosity and desire to learn
  • Team player with the ability to drive cross-disciplinary collaborations while demonstrating humility and resiliency
