Position Overview The Siemens USA Digital Industries (RC-US DI) Finance organization is seeking a Country Operating Company Finance Manager (Financial Planning & Analysis) to lead a highly visible and dynamic team. We are a virtual / remote organization with U.S. headquarters in Alpharetta, GA, where we host shared collaboration space and promote flexibility and work-life balance for our employees; contributing to a global technology powerhouse that brings together the digital and physical worlds to benefit customers and society. The qualified candidate will possess a BS/BA in Finance or related discipline and have 8-10 years previous experience in Financial Reporting, Budget Planning, and Analysis, in a highly matrixed Corporate Controlling environment. Primary responsibility of the position is to foster a healthy team environment in a high-performance culture, directly support Executive Management and oversee the month end closing process, reporting of actual results, analysis and commentary, forecast and budgeting activities, cost center controlling, corporate allocations, and supporting internal/external audit processes. The Controlling Manager will also coordinate support of business initiatives and finance projects. The successful candidate will be a key contributor in the DI Finance Leadership team. Key Responsibilities Leads, builds, and coaches the remote working Controlling team Ensures transparency and accountability for the integrity of books and records as you apply the Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines to the business processes and consolidated financials Drives digital transformation of the DI Finance organization Embraces change and flexibility; committed to constant personal development and adaption of new processes Works closely with Operating Company Executive Management and extended finance community and continuously drives improvement of reporting processes and deliverables to achieve optimum efficiency and highest quality output Drives profitability-, trend- and variance-analysis on Operating Company level, incorporates and validates financial input from Business Units and Segments Monitors financial performance, provides KPI analyses, and commentary of respective performance reporting and forecasts Drives monthly commentary of actual and forecast information to be used in global reporting packages and for discussion of financial results with US and Global Management Ensures proper revenue and cost controlling, design, and maintenance of underlying cost account systems Oversees Operating Company cost center controlling and support of Function Managers to manage costs and plan budgets Oversees Finance related transactions with internal and external parties, setting up SLAs, POs, JEs, etc. Supports internal/external audit engagements ensuring timely submission of requested deliverables with high standard of reporting quality Ensures accurate and timely deliverables to accountable management and customers Creates comprehensive presentations for Operating Company Management to present key business data and tell the story behind the numbers Dedicated to fostering a high-performance culture and an environment of continuous learning; ensuring appropriate business, technical, and process knowledge shared amongst the finance community Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Minimum of 3 years of Leadership experience; experienced in leading a remote team Experienced in leading the digital transformation; digitalization, optimization and standardization of financial processes Experienced in supporting and communicating to top level management and global counterparts Experienced in coordinating audits and communication with auditors Ability to coordinate high workload; effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Trusted business partner with strong communication skills; gets along well with others; strong sense of emotional awareness; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high-tension situations comfortably Ability to manage up, down, and in all directions without express authority, building appropriate rapport with colleagues at all levels of the organization Highly self-motivated; can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; constantly and consistently one of the top performers; bottom-line oriented; consistently pushes self and others for results Highly proficient in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Highly developed analytical skills and detail-oriented work style Ability to gather, structure, consolidate and analyze large amounts of financial information and develop an overarching Operating Company view, also in graphical format, that describes the key message for Management’s use Solid business acumen and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of Management within the Operating Company Expert knowledge of financial analysis and documentation methods to consolidate and validate large quantity of information and complex business issues Demonstrably creative; comes up with new and unique ideas; easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions; tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Experienced with automation of processes, using for example tools such as Knime and visualization tools, such as Tableau are a plus Experience in manufacturing / product distribution industry At Siemens, we are committed to an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our company’s success.
