Job Description

General Profile: Recognized as a Process Power or Plasma expert within company/industry. Background in EE, Physics or similar. Anticipates internal and or external technical challenges and/or regulatory issues; originates design, analyses issues and recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex technical problems that have a broad impact on the business. Contributes to the development of functional product design strategy. Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plasma generation and process power concepts for a wide range of applications in a significantly complex product portfolio
  • Technical lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies, as appropriate
  • Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems in existing designs
  • Specify and/or perform engineering analysis of significant complex scope
  • Interface with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex electrical issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a range of products
  • Independently generate product specifications, collaborate and manage vendors, and define OEM testing
  • Specify the development of design and/or modify engineering assemblies, layout/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of significantly complex scope
  • Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering tests
  • Occasional travel to other company offices, vendor and customer sites

  • Regarded as a technical expert in process power and its application to plasma processing, with associated track record of projects/products
  • Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines related to the design of Semiconductor Capital Equipment Tools.

  • Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process or service improvements; Manages appropriate vendor partner relationships; Explains complex technical subjects to management, customers and partners
