What is this role?
We are looking for a highly motivated audio engineer to join a fast growing global production team. The successful applicant will join part of a dynamic team working on a diverse range of project types across some of the world’s biggest brands. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to broaden their production experience and production management experience.
The successful applicant would be responsible for the end to end production process on localization projects. Main tasks consist of:
Responsibilities:
- Technical analysis of incoming projects to understand client requirements
- Preparing and organising project assets
- Documenting technical information as required
- Handing over technical instructions to 3rd party vendors
- Assessing technical quality of incoming audio assets
- Post production of audio assets
- Technical QA and finalisation as per customer specifications
- Schedule tracking and updating documentation
- Providing advice and support to non-technical colleagues and customers as required
We are looking for someone with 2 year proven experience who is proactive, self-motivated and able to keep track of multiple tasks at any given time. Customer satisfaction is very important to us so communication and organisation is a key part of making sure the production process goes smoothly. The successful applicant must be able to use their technical knowledge, experience, diligence and initiative to progress through projects whilst maintaining the project schedule and technical requirements. The applicant should also be comfortable communicating project details and issues in a clear and constructive way.
Key points:
- High level of technical knowledge in audio production tools and best practices.
- High level of organisational skills and ability to own and prioritise tasks and responsibilities
- Hard working, conscientious, proactive, strong people skills, self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written – Fluent in English both written and oral. Additional languages are a bonus.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, thoroughness and a high level of attention to detail is essential.
- Dedicated to the team and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot in a constructive manor
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record with at least 2 years of experience in audio engineering
- Thorough knowledge of audio editing techniques, processing techniques, audio editing software, DAWs, effects plugins and format types
- Experience of sound engineering fundamentals, including digital and analogue mixing desks, microphone placement, EQ, compression and limiting, gating, reverbs, delays, etc
- A knowledge of both Mac and PC
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere/After Effects is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of video editing and video editing software is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of coding and software script writing is an advantage
