Summary:

 

A new generation robotic process automation (RPA) technology now exists that will enable us to explore and drive efficiencies across the enterprise. A Process Automation Delivery Team operates within our organization to drive this new generation technology while working closely with Global Process streams and owners to maximize our capability and generate continuous improvement.  This role is a part of the Process Automation Delivery Team and will be responsible for supporting new funnel requirements, completing the development workload, working with other regions and engaging the stakeholders through the development life cycle.  Included in this role will be supporting the configuration and roll-out of the tool and process.

 

 

Detailed Description:

 

First full level of specialization; applies expertise in more than one area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards, established policy, and/or established objectives. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Incumbents are accountable for quality of work delivered by external suppliers as applicable. May influence others outside of team to ensure goals are met and resolves conflicts in an effective manner. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the site’s/major function's operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Receives guidance primarily on unique, unusual, or controversial problems or questions. Seeks out new avenues for building internal and external relationships; maintains contacts with existing relationships.
 

 

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
 

  • Perform development and configuration tasks in the RPA software per solution design per signed off business requirements
  • Candidate must be able to follow RPA configuration best practices, configure new RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
  • Operating within a team environment, this role works closely with local and international counterparts to share knowledge.
  • Automate existing processes using RPA software.
  • Fine tune performance and operation issues that arise with RPA Bots.
  • Function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs.
  • RPA Delivery Methodology: Must follow RPA delivery methodology and solution standards.
  • Should have an understanding to support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process as well as problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
  • Be a contributing member of the RPA team who is responsible to the business and the rest of the team throughout the delivery cycle.
  • Employ agile development practices including test driven development and deployment automation as well as Continuous Integration to improve overall execution speed and product quality.
  • Support stakeholder relationships and effectively obtain information from stakeholders to document requirements.
  • Be able to work with stakeholders globally and accurately capture the information provided in a format stakeholders can understand.
  • Interacting with subject matter experts (SMEs) from all areas of the organization, this role must document solutions prior to build, creating transparency and adhering to audit controls in a highly scrutinized environment.

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:      
 

  • The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment is critical, as the role is expected to comprehend and transform existing business processes into automated solutions within short timeframes.
  • Passion for process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of at least one business processes performed by GBS and our clients.
  • Ability to facilitate and/or perform documentation of business flows
  • Strong client contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines.

Physical Demands:    
 

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
  • 25% travel requirement
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines
  • Availability to meet with clients who are located around the globe so there will be a need to join or lead web-conference calls during evening hours.
     

Typical Experience:   

 

  • 3 plus years of relevant CLS business/operational experience
  • Experience with RPA software an asset
  • Experience with Visual basic and/or Excel macros is an asset
  • Experience with Visio and/or Bizagi is an asset
  • Experience with SQL is an asset


 

Typical Education:     
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
