Job Description
Eaton’s North American Financial Services Division is currently seeking a RTR- SAP Specialist Business Process Integration to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, Ohio location. Position Overview: The RTR- SAP Specialist Business Process Integration will support quality monitoring in terms of evaluation, design, and implementation of best practice business processes and tools across the GFSS RTR organization. The key focus areas of this role include the following, but are not limited to; evaluate the design, implementation of best practice business processes and tools with main focus on SAP, but consideration of Oracle RTR processes; the preservation of data accuracy and integrity through focus on controls and process harmonization opportunities across both SAP and Oracle; to initiate, lead, and coordinate quality and efficiency discussions across workstreams, and other finance functions, (GFA, Treasury, Tax, Operations, etc.) to ensure focus on continuous improvement opportunities and further collaboration across GFSS and between Oracle/SAP support and SAP projects to ensure consistency in approach and design, with consideration of configuration and maintenance impacts across workstreams project teams. In this function you will: Support data integrity and data governance through analysis of business processes, identification of automation opportunities, providing input to re-engineering of processes already in place Define and implement data monitoring, reporting, standards and governance to support data integrity Lead continuous improvement and efficiency-based projects Conduct ongoing research against best practices and established benchmarks, (processes and tools) Organize cross workstream/region groups to collaborate on options and/or varying solutions already in place or in process to direct team towards holistic solution Provide input and guidance on business requirements, functional design, process design (scenario flows, use cases, etc.) prototyping, testing, training, and drafting of support documents Collaborate with respective teams, (functional and technical,) to adopt/design/document solutions and provide knowledge transfer as necessary Analyze existing or proposed solutions to develop processes and procedures to effectively support approved initiatives Support digitalization strategy through interpretation and translation of functional requirements into solutions using consistent analytical tools Provide high level input to project implementation plans High engagement in SAP migration projects and initiatives with specific involvement in organizational (legal entity) structure, and technical accounting procedures High engagement in data interface/movement/balancing across financial applications (FCCS, ENCORE/new planning solution) related to troubleshooting interfaces and underlying data investigation (FX, configuration, etc.) High engagement in acquisitions to ensure early communication and consistency regarding adoption to Eaton systems and processes Regular interaction and coordination with the Operations Finance & Transformation team Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor - Finance, Accounting; Computer Science Minimum of 10 years of experience in global implementation and support of financial software applications Supervisory/management experience - both direct reports and project management Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the geographic area will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Position Criteria: Comprehensive functional and technical understanding of financial applications (SAP, and preferably Oracle) with experience in global implementation, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting; demonstrated skill in preparation and maintenance of requirement/design documents Functional SAP financial application experience - extensive in Record to Report modules; familiarity with Purchase to Pay and Order to Cash modules. Technical understanding of finance/controlling in SAP ECC, S/4 HANA is a plus. Experience with reporting applications, i.e. SAP BW, Power BI, Excel4Apps, etc. Knowledge and familiarity SAP statutory accounting. Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies Working knowledge of underlying financial application architecture and related database tools and objects, such as SAP BW, Forms, Extensions, Workflow Exceptional ability to learn new concepts quickly, and initiative to research new solutions and technologies Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to facilitate meetings and follow up on action items Ability to drive process improvement, and to train/teach others Strong focus on promoting process standardization and harmonization Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to connect systems/processes through analytical thinking and organization skills Attention to strategic thinking/involving and seeking input from others Strong work ethic with excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills Strong focus on self-awareness and self-management - highly self-motivated and directed Open to working in self-sufficient nature, with direct team, and with diverse global team - which may require working outside standard hours to engage with global team We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
