Receiver

At Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire (managed by Accor), our Receiver is responsible for ensuring all shipments are verified with purchase order specifications and standards, while assisting departments with sourcing and ordering of products, as well as inventories and distribution of product throughout the hotel.

What you will be doing:

• Offer professional, engaging and friendly service to suppliers, couriers, delivery persons, and all internal guests 
• Responsible for receiving and verifying goods against purchase orders to ensure accurate quantity and quality of received product
• Ensure documented receipt of all goods, noting any discrepancies
• Communicate and assist departments to coordinate pickup of goods
• Ensure all purchase orders, packing slips & invoices are date stamped and signed off appropriately
• Compile and submit the daily receiving report, along with all relevant back up documents to Accounts Payable
• Responsible for courier procedures, including any guest related deliveries or mail-outs
• Maintain loading dock and receiving area to ensure safety and cleanliness at all times
• Supervise and complete hotel storeroom procedures, including liquor and beverage requisitions, purchases, banquet consumption reports, in-house transfers and month end inventory counts and reporting 

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service is required with prior hospitality experience preferred
• Previous experience within a receiving or storeroom environment is an asset
• Strong knowledge of various computer programs is a must. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) is required. Previous experience with purchase order system is an asset.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills (both written & verbal) with the ability to develop excellent relationships across the organizations 
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative while maintaining attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively 
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
