Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical System and Services Group is currently seeking a Receiver to join our first shift team. This position is based at our Edmonton, Canada facility.

Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Supply Chain Supervisor, this position primarily ensures that all incoming materials are received, recorded and delivered to the appropriate location.

In this function you will:

  • Inspect and confirm incoming goods against purchase orders and/or shipping documents.
  • Verify data and resolve problems regarding receiving/delivering inbound shipments.
  • Resolve incoming material discrepancies with various members of the Supply Chain team.
  • Update stock locations in Oracle of incoming good received.
  • Deliver materials to their correct locations through the use of a fork truck and/or crane.
  • Load and off-load trailers and couriers.
  • Conduct inspections and update our supplier evaluation (WISPER) system. This may be include issuing a Defective Material Reports against suppliers.
  • Participate in Eaton’s Environmental Health and Safety program (MESH).
  • Monitor supplier quality performance (on time delivery), defective material.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent level of education from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within an 80-kilometer radius of the work location will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift / overhead crane experience or certification
  • Great communication skills as this position will interact with many facets of the organization
