Position Overview: Reporting to the Logistics and Procurement Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of inbound and outbound deliveries moving through the warehouse as well as supporting with both domestic & International shipments to and from Siemens DI CS Repair Center based in Lebanon ensuring compliance with all relevant import/export restrictions and legislation. Key responsibilities include: · Shipping internationally having significant experience of export/import compliance within the US and the preparation of the associated documentation · Arranging larger freight and small package domestic shipments · Experience in the picking & packing/processing of Sales Orders in accordance with industry standard practices · Experience of incoming receiving processes and associated industry standard procedures and practices including receiving, inspecting, sorting, and staging inbound freight for delivery quickly and accurately · Checks incoming goods for visible damage, documents them and provides the information if required. · Organizes a regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area. · Accepts incoming goods and compares them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity). · Completes packaging of deliveries having regard to shipping instructions, common methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g. Dangerous Goods) in the given framework. · Assembles deliveries out of given storage compartments and reviews for completeness and accuracy (e.g. quantity and article number in reference to the respective delivery notes). · Experience of warehouse management in accordance with SOP’s · Prepares and maintains records of items shipped · Loads and unloads trucks while delivering or picking up items Key competencies/technical skills required: · 3+ years’ experience in a similar environment · Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools and in Microsoft Outlook · Team oriented individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, able to communicate effectively at all levels and manage concurrent activities · High levels of self-motivation and discipline, commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality assurance standards · Be able to work on own initiative in a high pressurized dynamic environment. · Excellent attention to detail · Good inter-personal skills and ability to deal collaboratively with internal/external parties. · Must be prepared to accommodate a flexible working hour’s environment, ensuring that at crunch times partners in other time zones have easy access to support. · Forklift license highly desired · Knowledge of industry standard health and safety/manual handling procedures · Able to Lift up to 90 lbs. using industry standard Safe Lifting Practices · SAP experience highly desired · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Minimum of high school diploma #LI-VM1 Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
