First opened as Townhouses and later used as a boarding house in 1858 at No 10 Queen Square by local builder Soloman Francis. It was later re-opened with much celebration as the Francis Private Hotel in 1884

Our Ideal Candidate

As our Reception Manager, you will be a vital member of the team, ensuring that all team members are performing in accordance with policies and procedures, and that reception runs smoothly at all times. You will lead from the front in providing an efficient and courteous service at all times, and assume responsibility for training the team in both behaviour and procedures, as well as the use of Opera.

The ideal Reception Manager will:

  • Possess intimate knowledge of the function of the Reception department
  • Have great leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and is passionate about exceeding guest expectations
  • Experienced in hospitality and has working knowledge on how a hotel runs
  • Computer literate in the Windows environment, Opera, Tars, with an aptitude for new technologies
  • Possess a good command of English and has excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment

The Role:

  • Ensure that the Reception team provide efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous service to our guests
  • Ensure that the team offers an outstanding experience to our guests at all times be it at arrival, whilst staying with us or at departure
  • Leading the team in following correct procedures to enable the smooth running of the hotel
  • Ensure that the Reception team adhere to MGallery brand standards and service concepts.
  • Ensure security of revenue and money flows
  • Undertakes any necessary actions in order to recover debt
