Job Description

Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will provide friendly, sincere and personalized service to our guests and make them feel at home.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Consistently provide professional, warm and friendly service.
  • Greet, record revenue and settle guest accounts ensuring that service standards are met.
  • Assist customers regarding hotel facilities in an informative, helpful and friendly manner while maintaining a professional posture and demeanor at all times.
  • Attend to every customer who approaches the Front Desk.
  • Drive rate through targeted selling of room categories.
  • Comply with department policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Abide by all safety, emergency and evacuation policies.
  • Maintain good communication with other departments.
  • Edit reports and elaborate reports as requested.
  • Ensure that the close of the day is done correctly (applies to night shift).
  • Respect LQA standards for check in and check out and telephone answering.
  • Responsible for your cash register and daily closing of the cash register.
  • Respect established break times and not leave the front desk without permission from a manager.
  • Keep your work station tidy and with all the necessary material according to guidelines.
  • Respect the hotel's credit policy at all times.
  • Keep informed of everything that happens in the hotel, groups, VIP's, information and schedules of the venues to give the best service to our guests.
  • Respect uniformity and hygiene guidelines.
  • Print and check all your cash transactions and negative postings before the end of your shift.
  • Ensure that all profiles are complete and the Police report is correctly sent to the police (applies to night shift).
  • Respect and sign the check list.
  • Report any incident to your supervisor.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Certificate of studies in Hotel Management.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written) as well as Spanish; a third language is a plus.
  • Experience of at least 1 year in the same or similar position is a plus.
  • To have knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications (it is valued).
  • Knowledge of OPERA / OPERA CLOUD software.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Be highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus on the needs of the guest while remaining calm and courteous.
