Job Description
Are you interested in making banks more resilient to liquidity stress and resolvable in the event of a financial crisis? Do you want to play a role in shaping UBS's Recovery and Resolution Planning strategy and execution capabilities by providing liquidity and funding expertise?
We need someone like you to support the development of the global resolution and restructuring strategy for UBS and to provide the Regulatory Affairs unit with advice on changes to liquidity and funding regulations.
In this position you will:
• support the development of important UBS resolvability deliverables to FINMA and international regulators from a liquidity and funding perspective. This includes:
o assessing the liquidity and funding impact of actions available to re-shape the bank and to implement a viable business model in resolution
o developing credible unwind or restructuring measures based on the bank's business activities
o defining requirements for supporting capabilities such as funding and valuation in resolution
o analyzing international liquidity and funding regulation and country-specific deviations
• support the definition of group and key entity level liquidity and funding MIS and forecasting requirements to simulate resolution scenarios and to enable the execution of the restructuring during a real crisis
• support the operationalisation of the resolution strategy to ensure that resolution and restructuring is operationally feasible and could be conducted effectively. This includes:
o ensuring strong and flexible planning and execution processes that are embedded in the bank's business organization and risk management framework
o developing the required core and supporting capabilities and their transition into run-the-bank processes and periodic testing
o developing playbooks to lay out the operational liquidity and funding steps for executing resolution and restructuring strategies
• support senior management with analyses on the impact of new Swiss and international liquidity and funding going and gone concern regulation
