Reporting to the Director, Spa & Recreation, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

What you will be doing?

 

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day recreation operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service
• Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
• Ensure employees are informed daily about priorities to personalize service
• Responsible for Recreation accounting, reservations, group sales and public area operations.
• Train, develop and motivate Recreation staff to meet and exceed established service standards.
• Create and maintain a professional, safe, nurturing and entertaining environment.
• Conduct all Talent & Culture related provisions for hourly staff (i.e. interviewing, hiring, performance review, job recognition and disciplinary procedures).
• Maintain and perform necessary payroll duties for hourly staff, assuring proper compliance with time recording procedures.
• Purchase, organize and distribute guest-related product and supplies in accordance with volume and budgetary guidelines.
• Coordinate and maintain ongoing training for support staff in the areas of safety, guest service and team building.
• Address staff and guest’s concerns or questions, resolving appropriately.
• Take ownership of any guest or staff related problem and handle accordingly.
• Assure a cleanliness and organization of Gym and pools.
• Conduct meetings and resort wide training for colleagues in recreation, spa reservations, front desk, food and beverage, group sales and concierge.

 

Your experience and skills include:

 

• Service focused personality is essential
• Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset
• Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
