Job Description

Thermo Fisher is seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Recruiter to partner with Hiring Managers and HR Partners to deliver value to a growing, high volume business, by developing and implementing recruiting, sourcing and pipelining strategies aligned to the organization’s talent needs. The Senior Recruiter will act as an internal consultant, influencing and educating partners on talent acquisition strategies, processes and best practices.

This position will entail all aspects of Talent Acquisition, including:

  • Proactively consulting with Managers and HR on hiring needs and priorities, to deliver talent acquisition strategies and Talent for the Customer Channels Group Distribution Network
  • Strategically sourcing and building talent pipelines across broad regional areas, targeted at and successful in reaching a non-exempt, hourly workforce
  • Owning the full lifecycle, volume and highly hands-on recruitment process, to identify and attract qualified and diverse talent pools, and guide candidates through acceptance and transition processes
  • Ensuring consistent process management that balances compliance, business need and optimal candidate experience
  • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships and communication with business leaders, HR Partners and other corporate groups, helping you better understand the areas in which they work, our sites, regional markets and labor challenges for each distribution center
  • Acting as an advocate for the company brand, articulating the company’s value proposition and incorporate our company values into recruitment processes

How you will get here (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related program; In lieu of this Degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working in a professional environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on full life cycle corporate or search firm/RPO recruiting experience required; preferably with concentration on sourcing and pipelining for volume and reoccurring non-exempt workforce needs
  • Recruitment experience with Distribution, quality and supply chain oriented roles, preferred
  • Experience successfully utilizing a variety of sourcing, pipelining and branding channels, to identify active and passive candidates, including sourcing technology, ATS and database mining, professional and social media, community networking and career events, referrals, diversity and veteran organization partnerships, that developed a consistent flow of qualified candidates
  • CRM experience, preferred
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and other applicable regulations
  • Experience with behavioral based interviewing
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment, and to build strong relationships with Managers, Business Partners and Candidates
  • Able and willing to travel approximately 25%, as needed
