The Recruiting Program Manager plays a critical role in achieving our mission by enabling the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Regional Solutions & Services (SI RSS) organization to develop effective and sustainable relationships and channels for field technical talent within the regional business zone (NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA and ME) Click here to learn more about what SI RSS does: smartcareers.siemens.com What You’ll Do: Work hand-in-hand with the People & Organization ecosystem (Human Resources) and SI RSS functional leaders to understand talent needs and gaps, prioritize needs and then develop and execute targeted local talent acquisition strategies Identify and evaluate local colleges, universities, technical schools and other community-based organizations that could be a viable and sustainable source of field talent and propose options for engagement – up to and including large scale programmatic relationships such as apprenticeship programs Drive the co-creation of programmatic solutions in collaboration with the People & Organization team and Smart Buildings functional leaders, then implement and maintain those programs in collaboration with key stakeholders Collaborate with the Workforce PMO Team to identify opportunities to scale and maximize efforts into other regions and/or nationwide Serve as primary POC with existing program partners (SkillBridge, for example) to ensure these relationships are fully leveraged within your region Establish and maintain project plans, identify resource needs and manage project schedules Provide detailed reporting on program and project performance through regular E-Mail updates, roadmap prioritization meetings and other mechanisms Proactively provide solutions, resolve issues and overcome hurdles to results Attend and/or coordinate attendance at local career fairs and events within your region Maintain a small requisition load of positions specifically tied to local workforce development efforts Who You Are: You’re strategic. You MAKE things happen! What you’ll need to succeed: High School Diploma required. An Associate Degree, Pre-Bachelor’s Technical Degree/Certification, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred At least 5 years experience in talent acquisition or related experience, preferably including experience developing and managing workforce programs for engineering or other technical skills, ideally for field-service organizations. Will consider equivalent years of experience in other functions such as business excellence, Program/Project Management Experience developing and managing technical apprenticeship or related programs is highly preferred Demonstrated program and project management skills and ability to operationalize and scale programs Strong attention to detail and highly organized Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organizational objectives Highly effective communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts and proposals to engage and influence team, peers and management Experience developing workforce programs in underserved communities is a plus Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements, and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons.
