About this opportunity:
We are getting ready to launch and scale a stealth travel tech startup that uses machine learning to power personalised discovery, planning and booking of experiences and activities. Financially backed by one of the largest global travel brands, this venture is well positioned to disrupt the $250 Billion APAC travel experiences industry. The company is currently in pre-launch and is expected to enter the market early-2020.
We are looking for an experienced Head of People & Talent to join our team in Singapore. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced recruiter who is looking to move 'in house' and gain experience within a busy, start-up environment, or an experienced internal recruiter who is able to support Venture leadership in managing the People & Talent function.
Ideally you will have Digital recruitment experience; as well as a solid understanding and network within Asia-Pacific for this type of talent.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with Venture Leadership to map out hiring requirements, identifying key resource gaps
- Be responsible for the full cycle recruitment, selection and hiring process
- Shape our people priorities and objectives in partnership with Venture Leadership that will support the achievement of our commercial objectives
- Lead special projects in HR strategy, implementation and reporting, interfacing with all relevant stakeholders where appropriate
- Prepare the details of vacant positions, reviewing and updating job descriptions and advertisements
- Leverage your network of industry contacts to build a pipeline of candidates
- Source candidates independently, without the assistance of external headhunters
- Manage candidate communications and deliver an exceptional Candidate Experience throughout the application process
- Utilise a number of innovative recruitment methods and channels to build a strong pipeline of candidates with specialised expertise
- Perform initial candidate screening and partner in some face-to-face interviews
- Update and maintain our Application Tracking System
- Be agile and iterative in your approach, and relentless in your search and support for our high caliber talent
Who we are looking for:
- 5+ years professional recruiting, generalist HR, and employee relations experience
- A deep understanding of the skills and capabilities required for a range of digital roles and functions
- Experience in one or several: performance management, project management, employee relations, career development, coaching, HR administration
- Proven abilities in using creative sourcing channels to build a pipeline of candidates as well as knowledge and practice of using digital platforms as sourcing tools
- The ability to manage ambiguity and work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to balance decisiveness with empathy
- Initiative and the ability to recognise opportunities for improvement, as well as implement new processes and procedures
- Previous digital experience, with the ability to consistently identify and engage top tier candidates
Preferable
- A strong network in the Digital talent market in Asia-Pacific, especially Indonesia
